Write a creative story with the title either: The Biggest Challenge Or Behind the Door
Success Criteria:
¢Originality
¢Effective use of the English language
¢Logical presentation
¢Imagination
¢Writer’s ability to express themselves.
Note: no teacher assistance what so ever.
Reading/Writing - Week 5-7 Term 3 Inferring An attempt to get inside the author’s head to find out what he/she really meant Eg.
*Character traits in a story. *The mood of the story. WALT: make sense of a text by recognising information that is not directly stated but is suggested. Success Criteria:
*think about what I know already about this topic
*identify clues in the text(words and phrases) that the author has used
*use clues in the illustrations to help gain meaning
combine what I know about the topic with the clues in the text to make a prediction about what is suggested in the text
